Duties and Responsibilities
Assist the Instructor in conducting field work and activities in a summer course: BIOL 403. Duties include boat driving, shuttle van driving, organization and delivery of field gear and related supplies, organization and delivery of food provisions for student participants. Other duties include assisting with field work, data analysis, statistics, and report writing, as well as logistical support for the course.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree. 0-1 years of experience. Able to handle a wide variety of jobs with minimal supervision; Certified to drive UH boats; Ability to organize and safely lead group activities in and near the ocean; Ability to work with undergraduates; Drivers license w/ability to drive up to a 15 passenger van; Knowledge of Hawaiian marine animals and plants.
Desirable Qualifications
Previous experience leading student groups in field work; 2. Familiarity with statistics and report writing.To Apply:
