Call Center Agents

Overview:
Bishop & Company is seeking Call Center Agents to support the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs (DCCA) group. In this role, you will assist callers seeking information or support from the State of Hawaii DCCA, responding to questions, resolving concerns, and ensuring every interaction reflects professionalism and care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls, providing clear and accurate information.
  • Listen attentively to customer needs and resolve concerns with empathy and efficiency.
  • Record all inquiries in the internal database while managing private information with confidentiality.
  • Research and respond to issues using both internal and external resources.
  • Provide time-sensitive responses, ensure proper referrals, and commit to first-call resolution.
  • De-escalate challenging calls with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Meet and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including call quality, timeliness, and adherence to policies.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional education preferred.
  • Prior call center or customer service experience strongly desired.
  • Excellent verbal communication and listening skills.
  • Ability to multitask, research, and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Strong organizational skills and commitment to confidentiality.
  • Proficiency with computers, databases, and office software.
  • Reliable internet connection for remote work.

Additional Information:
  • Job Type: Temporary-to-hire opportunity
  • Location: First month of orientation and training will be in-office. This is primarily a work-from-home position, but in-office attendance will be required for supervisor meetings, scheduled staff trainings, or as needed if performance KPIs are not met.
  • Parking: provided
  • Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Pay: $17/hr
